Samidori

As a cultivar originated in Kyoto, Samidori is a popular variety that is most-fitted for hand-plucked Tencha cultivation.

“Samidori” is made from this cultivar of our estate from which National Minister’s Award-winning and Governor of Kyoto Award-winning teas have come.
With deep green color and less bitterness, it has mild taste and flavor for everyone.
Koicha (thick tea) or Usucha (thin & foamy tea) is recommended.

Description

In Spring, after a year of caring and fostering the tea plants, new buds start to sprout.
Only once a year, these umami-rich buds are plucked by hand and carefully processed and stone-milled into our matcha.
Matcha from our tea garden is single estate origin; it comes from single cultivar tea leaves without any blending.
Please enjoy truly superb taste and flavor that can never be found anywhere else.
The tea leaves are matured slowly and carefully ground on a millstone.
